It’s common knowledge that car and truck manufacturers have recommended (and in some cases required) maintenance services for the vehicles they make. But what isn’t as commonly known is that owners aren’t required to bring their vehicles into the dealer in order to honor these recommendations. Both recommended and required maintenance services can be performed by any qualified automotive repair specialist (such as Pellman’s Automotive, for example!) without negating the warranty in any way. Follow Manufacturer’s Schedule (usually every 30,000 miles)
Road test vehicle and evaluate overall performance; Change oil and filter; Inspect spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor; Cooling system service; Brake fluid flush; Transmission service; Driveline service; Replace fuel filter; Replace cabin air filter; Replace air filter; Rotate tires & check wheel balance; Inspect brakes, steering & suspension; Power steering fluid flush; Replace PCV valve; Engine performance testing (including fuel injection); Inspect belts, hoses, lights, tire pressure & fluid levels; Test operation of heating system; Add oil supplement to engine & fuel system cleaners to fuel tank; Service battery & battery cables; Test battery, starter & alternator; Timing belt (usually required at 60,000 or 90,000 miles).

We follow the manufacturer’s requirements and recommendations when performing major services. Every car make and model has different maintenance requirements. In some instances, these services are required to keep your factory warranty intact.
