IN THE COMMUNITY

We are passionate about caring for our environment and feel responsible for minimizing the impact the automotive repair and maintenance business can have on the Boulder County environment. It’s so important that we have included environmental responsibility as part of our mission statement since we opened. To ensure the work we do at Pellman’s Auto Repair has a minimal effect on our surrounding air, water, and soil, we take the following steps in the course of our daily work.

Family Service Day

Family Service Day is our way of sharing our talents as auto professionals with those in our community who are identified through a local non-profit as needing help. On this special day each year, our staff volunteers their time to provide free automotive maintenance and to help ensure that these families have safe, reliable transportation.

Holiday Gift Baskets

Each December, we team up with Liberty Home Loans, Four Star Realty, and other local businesses and wonderful people in our community to provide gift baskets to homebound seniors through the Meals on Wheels program. It’s a wonderful feeling to know these seniors will receive a special treat during this holiday time.

Car Care Clinics and Teen Car Care Clinics

Pellman’s Automotive offers Car Care Clinics for local businesses to help educate employees about car repair and maintenance. If you’re interested in having us come to your place of work, e-mail Lisa and she’ll set something up. We also periodically hold clinics at our shop for members of the community and new drivers. Thanking Local Volunteers

We appreciate all of the great people who volunteer their time at Non-profit organizations across the County. These volunteers are what allows these organizations to help so many people. To thank these volunteers, who often use their own vehicles to carry out their duties, we provide certificates for free oil changes. We are currently providing these certificates to Boulder County Care Connect volunteers.

Local Schools

We feel fortunate to have raised our two children in a community with such a strong public school system. Pellman’s Automotive has always been committed to providing resources, both financially and by investing our time to support the students in BVSD. Most recently, Lisa served as the Fairview High School Choir Department Publicity Chair from 2007-2014.

Youth Soccer

Youth soccer is very dear to our hearts. Brad was a recreational and competitive coach for local youth soccer teams from 2001 – 2013. The time it took him away from the shop was worth it to help share his love of the game with a new generation.

Cars for Families

Occasionally, a Pellman’s customer will decide not to invest in the repair his or her vehicle needs, choosing instead to buy a new or pre-owned vehicle. We often purchase these cars, repair them, and then donate them to local families in need of reliable, safe transportation.
